The Commercialization Engineering Group is seeking an individual to lead Continuous Improvement initiatives, projects and project teams. The position will interact with R&D, Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain and is accountable for developing and leading the following initiatives within BTC:
•Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) – Establish and implement a DFSS process for BTC utilizing Formulating for the Future, Value Stream Mapping, Design of Experiments, Modeling, Platform Development, FDOP, and other technical tools.
•Test Method Development – Lead the Test Method development process for BTC, including coordinating activities of all group involved. This includes new test methods as well as improvements to existing methods and relationships with outside testing agencies.
•Quality Investigations – Develop and lead the Quality Investigations for BTC utilizing Kepner Tregoe, Root Cause, Lean and Six sigma methodologies.
•Support High Throughput through processing and test correlation/development to support utilization of the data in standard BTC processes.
The individual will have to demonstrate different skill sets over the course of developing these programs. The person must be a change leader, detail oriented, statistically knowledgeable, and have excellent communication skills.
5-year minimum formulation experience
Proven problem solving/decision making ability
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
High level of initiative and leadership ability
Excellent organization and planning skills
BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or required Chemistry Classes with other Bachelor in Science
Blackbelt Trained and Certified
Kepner Tregoe Training preferred
