Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration. Must be culturally sensitive as job requires interaction with international Subject Matter Experts and personnel on a day-to-day basis. Must be adaptable/flexible as well as extremely organized and detail-oriented. Skilled in computer technology, and MS Office applications (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK, POWERPOINT). Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and/or Gov't systems a plus.

Job dutiesn:

Contract support for multiple programs of the Center for Civil-Military Relations (CCMR) at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey CA. The right candidate has a passion for accurate and prompt detailed resource management work as well as anticipating requirements and the perseverance to overcome administrative obstacles, to solve problems and to complete tasks to standard and on time – all in an international environment across 10 times zones. The work extends well beyond accounting to matters of policy and procedure to create executable accounts and working through the appropriate funding/accounting to obligate and reconcile accounts. The candidate will perform other support tasks (transport, supply, and miscellaneous administration) for all programs of CCMR.

Responsibilities: Assist the Monterey Business Office (in support of Gov't programs) in all coordination and resourcing aspects of event planning, funding, execution, cost reconciliation, and documentation. Oversee and act as primary point of contact for the CCMR contract vehicles and Camber Subject Matter Experts. Prepare reports as required by authorities, monitor and control the flow of receipts and obligations. Meet deadlines and suspense dates to ensure event participants are contracted, appropriately,prepared and cleared by the US and foreign governments for work. Coordinate and comply with policies and procedures of US Government financial and resource management offices. Determine event funding sources for travel, labor and other direct costs, proper levels, and process funding documents to support government and contractor subject matter experts in accordance with government regulations, policies and procedures. Develop government cost estimate to be approved for government contract solicitation. Update applicable information systems with funding information. Evaluate and process travel vouchers. Reconcile overall event costs.
