We are currently seeking candidates for the role of: Contract Manager

The Contract Manager (CM) in the Contract Management department is responsible for administration, forecasting, and direction for an assigned portfolio of contracts. Specifically, Contract Managers are responsible for:
•Smaller less complex accounts and volume of accounts
•Management of the contract from execution to expiration including but not limited to facilitating amendments to the contract
•Managing contract revenue, forecasts, penetration and uptake
•Performing Business Line Reviews for their assigned suppliers
•Aligning Contract Management strategic sourcing activities with the Product Planning and Contract Negotiation areas within Premier
•Serve as the single point of contact for the contract and responding to questions from Premier’s field team and member hospitals
•Providing subject matter expertise in terms of industry wide and macro-economic changes effecting supply competitiveness
•Aligning Member / Supplier expectations
•Developing supplier relationships
Will collaborate daily with senior contract managers and the Director for guidance and direction with complexities of contract portfolio or issue resolution. The Contract Manager will eventually take on the management of more complex contracts and develop a more advanced understanding of contract management processes and procedures.

Major Accountabilities:

Relationship Development
•Resolve supplier related issues regarding contracting activities.
•Remain point of contact for the Supplier to Premier and vice versa.
•Develops supplier performance metrics and owns supplier relationship management.
•Align supply chain expectations with the Member community.
•Work with counterparts at key supplier and other partner organizations to maximize the benefits realized from the ongoing relationship.

Department / GPS Project Management
•Participate in or lead projects to improve internal business processes
•Maintain the revenue forecasts for Supply Base.
•Perform risk analysis and monitor those areas in multiple contracting categories
•Attend and present at cross-functional meetings where required and delegated by the Director or Vice President.

Contract Management
•Review and provide feedback during the finalization of contract Terms & Conditions
•Responsible for actively working to increase contract uptake via direct communication with the field; program development with suppliers; and analysis of contract spend.
•Review and analyze supplier sales data
•Conduct regular Business Line Reviews with suppliers
•Assist in training new suppliers on Premier policies and procedures
•Manage the amendment process including writing standard terms and conditions
•Monitor supplier scorecards and provide metrics for improvement
•Provide contract data to Forecasting, Revenue Reconciliation and Rebates teams when requested
•Maintain the revenue forecasts for Supply Base.
•Perform risk analysis and monitor those areas in multiple contracting categories
•Ensures contract modifications are in the best interest of Premier and its Members

Contract Planning and Forecasting
•Monitor contract usage to maximize Premier administrative fees.
•Enforces contracts by ensuring that supplier sends detailed sales data to Premier regularly.
•Monitor accounts receivable for portfolio.
•Perform forecast risk and opportunity analysis for portfolio

Education & Experience Required:

•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred (MBA or equivalent)
•Business/Finance, Supply Chain or Operations Management, Healthcare
•5 years; 7 years preferred
•Individual contributor role in contract/account management in an organization with contracts OR Financial analyst or sourcing specialist
•Experience using databases / data warehouses to mine data and identify trends; Prior experience with partner contracts preferred
•Strong analytical skills; Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Access skills.
