Purpose of Position:
The Early Childhood Services Contracts Manager will review and monitor assigned contracts and agreements by conducting on site visits on a periodic basis and performing desk reviews and analysis of the following: 1) analyzing the appropriateness and accuracy of costs as related to program and fiscal standards; 2) ensuring that contract providers are in contract compliance and have sound accounting practices; 3) reviews contract expenditures and investigates if unauthorized charges in services have been made; and 4) analyzing contractors financial statements, internal controls and operations and other data to identify any defining problems and make recommendations to resolve any items that may require resolution. This position will coordinate accounting and other financial activities and provide information and comprehensive reports, on behalf of Early Childhood Services, to determine if the services are being provided and if funds are being accounted for accurately. In addition, this position will be responsible for the development of professional services contracts and agreements statement of work.

This position is a Pay Band 80.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements. Employment Requirements:
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current and valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Statutory Requirements:
