The Fixed Asset Staff Accountant will be responsible for all fixed asset accounting transactions for the LAM and APAC regions. This position demonstrates accountability for functional, business, &broad company objectives. In this role you will be responsible for technical & operational accounting and reconciliations. The position will manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, & will contribute to the fixed asset center of excellence strategy.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
  • Manage all asset transactions, including asset additions, disposals and transfers
  • Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes for LAM & APAC fixed assets
  • Prepare account reconciliations quarterly ensuring fixed asset sub ledger and general ledger balances tie
  • Work with supply chain team on tracking and budgeting CIP projects
  • Work with local controllers and auditors on physical inventory process
  • Participate in controllership simplification efforts
  • Understand and analyze changes in asset values
  • Ensure compliance with GE GAAP and consistency of accounting processes
  • Work on special projects as necessary

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial experience
