Purpose of position is to provide leadership, industry leading strategy and marketplace management within the US Best Premium Independents. Additionally this role will focus on our best pure play and direct only accounts that provide us with a way forward within customer experience and growth.

The Converse Director of Sales will meet or exceed all revenue and margin targets for the territory and grow the brand with our top key accounts. Coach, Inspire, Lead and Drive team of successful account executives to accomplish territory objectives, and reach their full potential. Provide proactive, transparent communication on issues and market challenges to Sr. Director and Sales Leadership team. Develop sales and marketing plans for each season that transform the marketplace. Align with Brand Strategy, Deliver on the North American objectives and create a consumer led integrated footwear, apparel and marketing approach to both the Premium Business and developing online business. Work in a collaborative manner with Planning, Retail Marketing, Product Marketing and Merchandising to identify opportunities to enhance sales and margin for the Regional Independent team. Work closely with Finance and Credit to ensure that corporate financial objectives are achieved. Manage Regional budget allocation and expenses for yourself and team. Develop GMM and DMM relationships at key accounts to drive the Converse brand and achieve specific objectives. Work directly with customers through account visits, trade shows and events to strengthen relations and partnership. Maintaining the highest level of drive and motivation among team members especially during times of challenging retail sales environments.

**Please note: this role can be located anywhere domestically, however preferred location is LA or NY**


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • MBA a plus
  • 10+ Years of direct sales experience
  • 5+ Years of sales management experience
  • 3+ years of sales or sales management experience with national level and/or large regional level accounts
  • Strong aptitude for financial and business planning
  • Proven ability to manage sales executives and achieve/exceed sales goals
  • Proven ability to plan business and foster and maintain outstanding relations with customers and internal company personnel
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications
  • Proven leadership ability
