Fairfax Hospital is a 157 licensed bed facility providing
psychiatric and dual disorders treatment for children, adolescents
and adults as well as two alternative school programs and CD
services. The hospital is located in a quiet residential neighborhood
on the Eastside of Seattle.
The Cook II/Diet Aide is responsible for the preparation of
evening meals for patients, and facility staff in accordance with
approved menus cycles and production sheets, providing assistance to
the morning cook for lunch service preparation; assists the Dietary
Manager with preparing for special functions and other special events
that may occur. Diet Aide responsibilities are included as needed for
the overall operation of the kitchen. The current position is
per diem status. Potential for permanent shifts in the
Education/Experience: Must have at least two (2) years experience
in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in
food service sanitation and possession of food service sanitation
certification is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen
equipment and utensils.
