We are seeking an individual that has a passion for Culinary Arts and to help with the healing process of the patients we serve with willingness to embrace the Core Values of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills achieve goals set by the department. Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Culinary Arts Degree preferred. Department of Health Food Handlers Certification and knowledge of HACCP guidelines required. 5 year’s culinary experience in hospital or restaurant setting required, as well as recipe standardization, knowledge of recipe development and inventory monitoring. Work schedule: varied shifts (hours and days), weekends and holiday as determined by the needs of the department and or special functions.
