Cook - Part Time
Delaware North Companies Australia (DNCA) is a market leader in the catering and hospitality industry with a portfolio spanning: sporting stadiums, airports & transport, education, integrated services, leisure and entertainment venues across Australia and New Zealand.
Based at Sydney's Central Station, a Part-Time Cook is required to join our dynamic kitchen brigade in the Bar & Bistro. Preparing food of a Counter meal / Bistro style, your key responsibilities will include:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Ordering of goods; inventory control and stock maintenance
- Conducting regular temperature checks; ensuring food safety
- Maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen / workspace
- Production of consistent and high quality food
Be able to demonstrate solid skills in food preparation and presentation
Have knowledge of OH&S and food hygiene
Have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Be able to work under pressure and unsupervised
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Commercial Cookery or related discipline will be highly regarded as is any current certification in Food Hygiene.
A minimum of 2 years experience required within a similar style of operation.
As well as having thorough knowledge of safe food handling procedures, you will have previous experience working in an establishment of this nature and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
