What Purchasing contributes to Cardinal Health
Purchasing is responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level, may negotiate product cost, and utilizing terms and conditions, working with internal customers to reduce product cost, improve the supply chain and evaluate supplier performance, and executing purchase orders and manages raw material inventory.

- managing pharmacy drug inventory
- processing recalls and invoices
- ordering medications for the pharamcy and anciliary departments as appropriate
- managing, maitaining, record keeping 340B drug account
- tracking and keeping all records as in accordance with federal and state regulations
- following policies and procedures
- proficient with Microsolf Office products (word, excell, access and outlook email)
- processing and keeping track of loans/borrows of drugs
- effective communicator
High school degree or GED required.
Basic communication and organizational skills
Basic Excel, Word and Access skills required
Must be oriented and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
