QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or higher preferred
  • Three to five years related experience
  • Ability to successfully complete assignments with limited supervision
  • Proficient in MS Office Professional
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral format
  • Knowledge in the use of office equipment
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel and members of the community
  • Organizational, prioritization, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
  • Knowledge of district organization, operations and administrative policies preferred
  • Competence in cross-cultural communication
  • Must possess strong record keeping skills and be highly detailed oriented
BASIC FUNCTIONS
  • Remain current on all general knowledge information regarding staffing services to respond to routine applicant and employee questions
  • Work directly with position control and department heads for adjustments or postings on positions (conversions, moving employees, etc.)
  • Coordinate the development of new employment programs and evaluate their potential and practicality
  • Conduct or recommend modifications to existing employment programs as needed; design, organize and provide on-going development to achieve established goals
  • Demonstrate sufficient business knowledge and consult with other departments to provide timely feedback and solutions
  • Monitor new hire files for completion of required documents and input or supervise input of all new hire information into the Oracle Finance System
  • Monitor/Assist with the postings, resumes and processing of open/closed positions
  • Coordinate on-line processing with Applitrack for central staff; ensure the process is user-friendly and effective
  • Respond to inquiries from personnel relating to recruitment, screening, interviewing, placement, record keeping, compensation, benefit programs, policies and procedures, staff changes, etc.; respond to inquiries from candidates regarding status of applications or documentation requirements
  • Participate on special projects when necessary
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer - Human Capital Management.
