Responsible for the Company's talent acquisition requirements to ensure that staffing needs are met in an efficient and timely manner. Maintain currency in CA and US State & Federal laws and industry news. Utilize best practices and latest trends to recommend changes in the talent acquisition process to improve the overall functionality and outcome.

Responsibilities
  • Reports to the VP of HR and works with hiring managers to develop staffing plans to meet business needs
  • Identifies potential candidates through web sourcing, networking, and alternative sourcing methods and strategies such as white papers, technical publications, news articles, professional organizations, internet sites, internal & external referrals, and other creative ways to fill candidate pipelines
  • Contacts, screens, and sells prospective candidates on taking the first step toward discovering the careers Prysm, Inc. has to offer
  • Manages recruiting initiatives from the beginning to the end of the full recruitment life-cycle to include successful pre and post-closing of candidates on opportunities at Prysm, Inc. This includes managing temporary employees, consultants, interns, and the periodic management of contract recruiters & staffing agencies
  • Conducts onboarding and new hire orientations
  • Reports on recruitment activities utilizing the ATS and Excel based reports
  • Performs HR Generalist activities as needed
  • Completes special project assignments and other duties as necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five+ (5) years of previous experience in a search firm or in-house talent acquisition function
  • Previous staffing experience in a startup company environment highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of HR concepts in talent acquisition, employment law, and employee relations
  • Ability to generate candidate flow for multiple roles utilizing a variety of sourcing techniques
  • Excellent skills to source, interview, negotiate, and communicate both written and verbally
  • Strong computer skills including fluency with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to various HRIS and ATS familiarity
  • Ability to interface and present to senior management and to all levels of candidates
  • High energy, ability to work at a fast paced environment, great people skills, honesty and integrity, and a sense of humor
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Resourceful and highly self-motivated, with ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • Works well under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • HR Generalist experience preferred in the areas of benefits and stock administration, compensation, and performance management
