Provide Microsoft and other software training to corporate clients as needed. Deliver training based on client's needs and objectives. Establish courses following accepted higher education standards teach students using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning.

Provide software training to corporate clients as needed. Be available to deliver classes at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs. Assess training needs for clients in conjunction with Corporate College staff. Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods. Deliver training using relevant training materials such as texts, handouts, class exercises or assessment tools. Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives and which are appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles. Maintain familiarity with current texts, materials, teaching aids and techniques relative to courses within the discipline and recommend their adoption when appropriate. Maintain accurate records, including class schedules, student rosters, 3-day attendance and grade rosters. Strict observance of these procedures is required for on-going consideration for other training assignments. Attend scheduled meetings with client and Corporate College as requested including Adjunct Faculty Orientation. Sell students on higher level classes using soft sales techniques. Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Education or related field from a regionally accredited institution, indicating academic preparation in the related field required or four (4) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Level 1: No licenses or certificates related to specific disciplines required. Level 2: One to two (1-2) licenses or certifications related to specific disciplines required. Level 3: Three or more (3) licenses and/or certifications related to specific disciplines required. Must be willing to attend certification classes in their discipline as deemed necessary by the department in order to comply with licensing requirements.
Community college, university teaching, or corporate training experience is highly desired. Level 1 - Three to five (3-5) years of demonstrated, subject-related industry experience required. Up to three (3) years experience working in HCC, conducting corporate training preferred. Level 2 - Six to eight (6-8) years of demonstrated, subject-related industry experience required. Four to six (4-6) years experience working in HCC, conducting corporate training required. Level 3 - Nine or more (9+) years of demonstrated, subject-related industry experience required. Seven or more (7+) years experience working in HCC, conducting corporate training required. NOTE: Part-time experience will be counted as half of full-time experience; for example, two (2) years of part-time experience will equal one (1) year of full-time experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication. Willing and able to teach day, evening, or weekend classes at a number of sites around the city. Possess good organizational and planning skills. Demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population. Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others. Must be comfortable training in a corporate environment with the ability to interact professionally with corporate clients. Ability to contribute and present innovative ideas for new curricula and programs that combine traditional schedules with new demands from industry schedules.
Computer Skills Requirements
Familiarity with and ability to teach all Microsoft Office Suite (Intro to VBA, and Project a plus) classes. Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software are required.
