The PMCM Division of ARCADIS seeks to add a Cost Analyst to our Middletown, Connecticut office. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience working in a construction claims environment with increasing responsibilities and be able to interface effectively with clients, co-workers and project teams.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reviews and analyzes construction claims and provides opinions, advice and reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Ability to review and analyze issues and project documentation
·
Analyze contracts and subcontracts to determine parties' responsibilities in light of disputes
·
Track project costs and perform line-item level cost analyses to determine Estimates at Completion (EACs)
·
Prepare all cost related reporting including ad-hoc reporting (including causal factor analysis)
·
Perform quarterly CM allowance review and reconciliation with Anticipated Cost Report
·
Present results of analyses to senior staff
·
Knowledge of contractor cost accounting systems
·
CPM scheduling expertise and hands-on use of Primavera P6 software for project controls and evaluation of delays
·
Primavera P6 cost and resource loaded schedule review capability
·
Report writing & preparation of charts & graphs to support and present analyses
·
Conducts research, analysis and product development for all on-going projects.
·
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
·
Estimating and managing assignment budgets
·
Establishes and maintains professional business relations with clients, distributors, vendors, and trade contacts.
·
Provides assistance, advice and recommendations to project group on contractual matters.
·
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are a must.
·
Strong organization skill and attention to detail
·
overseeing and working closely with other project staff
·
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.
·
Strong oral and written presentation skills
·
Participating in marketing opportunities/interviews, and interfacing effectively with clients.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Qualifications
* Minimum years of experience: 5+ years of consulting experience in progressively responsible construction claims roles.
* Education required: BA or BS in technical field such as Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a closely related field.
* Skills required: Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
* 7+ years of consulting experience in progressively responsible construction claims roles.
* 3 or more years of experience as a Scheduler, ideally related to construction claims.
* Education preferred: MA or MS in related technical field such as Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a closely related field.
* Registrations/Certifications preferred: P.E.(Professional Engineer) License
* Skills preferred: Experience with Highway or Roadway construction, and a strong construction background on large, complex projects is highly preferred. Proficiency with Primavera P6 is preferred.
