Faithful+Gould in San Francisco is currently seeking Cost Managers/Cost Engineers to work at a major client project site. In this role you will function as a junior Cost Engineer supporting senior Project Controls staff with detailed project accounting services in accordance with procedures. You will provide cost management services including invoice validation, cost forecasting and reporting, change management, close out administration, procurement management, earned value and value engineering. You will utilize SAP for Corporate financial accounting. The responsibility includes invoice review for accuracy and also includes coordination with vendor finance, procurement and project managers along with the project controls group. You will perform other project controls duties as assigned.
You must have knowledge of building construction, along with some general knowledge and background in project management and estimating. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required.
You must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of Unifier software and SAP are highly desirable.
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Quantity Surveying or a similar field of study. In addition, you must have 2+ years of project controls, cost management, or accounting experience in the construction industry.
Local candidates only will be considered, there is no relocation or per diem available for these positions. And you must have current US work authorization to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship.
