Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
The position requires five equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills for mid-level analyst positions. In-depth cost estimating and risk analysis knowledge and hands-on MS Excel and Crystal Ball skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have five to ten equivalent years of experience in cost estimating and analysis, preferably with Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR) or an equivalent Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DoD acquisition experience is a plus. Three semester hours of calculus and 21 semester hours of course work in operations research, economics, math, chemistry, physics, or other sciences where there is utilization of advanced math skills (e.g., geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and/or quantitative analysis) and ICEAA CCE/A or AACE CEP certifications or certifications in process are highly desired. Comparable certifications will be considered.
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
Individuals will perform a wide variety of cost and economic analyses/estimating/engineering studies for the Navy SPAWAR organization. Work may include parametric cost estimating, hardware and software cost estimating, life cycle cost analysis, cost estimating relationship (CER) development, cost model development, cost risk assessment & analysis, cost-benefit analysis, performance measurement (earned value management), and project forecasting. Familiarity with SPAWAR or equivalent Navy acquisition programs and processes is highly desired.
