Counselors at Pocatello High School work with students grades 9


through 12


grade. Counselors at Poky are involved in scheduling students for classes. PHS Counselors are involved with special education. They also address issues such as attendance, academics, career guidance and personal problems. Counselors are in charge of the standardized testing for all grade levels. Counselors make classroom presentations at all grade levels to help with registration.

The knowledge and ability to write and implement Individual Education Plans.

The ability to work collaborative with colleagues to support growth for Students.

The ability to establish positive relationships with students.

Strong curriculum knowledge in counseling.

Must be an advocate for students and the belief that all students can learn.

Salary Range: Placement on District teacher salary schedule based upon education
