This non-exempt position is responsible for accurately and effectively performing related clerical duties for the Criminal division of the Courts department while providing outstanding internal and external customer service with moderate supervision.
Processes incoming pleadings and documents using case management software
Prepares court dockets for court proceedings, within required deadlines, using the case management software
Processes information from court proceedings
Maintains integrity of case files
Provides customer service in person and over the phone
Organizes and files pleadings relating to County Court cases in appropriate case files. Read and understand pleadings to determine if further action it requires. Place case files in proper location
Assists Supervisor, Deputy Director and Director with other related duties as assigned
Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Clerk for the operation of the office and continuation of service
High school diploma or GED
Must have one to three years of related experience*
Must be punctual; regular attendance is required
Must be computer literate which includes, but is not limited to, proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Word & Outlook
Must be able to operate general office equipment
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team and foster a positive work environment
- Advanced education and/or degree can be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
