Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (Other duties may be assigned.)
1. Prepare financial statement spreads using the Moodys financial statement analysis software and financial statements presented by commercial lenders. Review trends. Manage a schedule under which spreads are prepared and returned to loan officers within a time period agreed upon in advance with each lender. Maintain Moodys database. This duty is performed about 26% of the time.
2. Prepare in-house spreadsheets designed to quantify borrowers personal, global, and real estate cash flows on an as-needed basis for commercial lenders. Manage a schedule under which analysis takes place on an accurate and timely basis. This duty is performed about 26% of the time.
3. Prepare narrative analysis of findings and recommendations for lenders. This duty is performed about 26% of the time.
4. May assist, coordinate and attend loan committees at respective banks. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
5. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
6. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics preferred; or a minimum of 5 years banking experience with demonstrated knowledge of basic principals of accounting, finance, and economics.
Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
Under general direction, working from policies and general directives. Rarely refers specific cases to supervisor unless clarification or interpretation of the organization's policy is required.

Probable errors would not likely be detected until they reached another department, office or patron, and would then require considerable time and effort to correct the situation. Frequently, possibility of error that would affect the organization's prestige and relationship with the public to a limited extent, but where succeeding operations or supervision would normally preclude the possibility of a serious situation arising as a result of the error or decision.
Occasional routine contacts with persons outside the organization. This would include contacts with suppliers, mail service, etc.
Contacts of considerable importance within the department or office, such as those required in coordination of effort, or frequent contacts with other departments or offices, generally in normal course of performing duties. SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Advanced: 10-Key, Accounting, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Personal credit history devoid of derogatory credit.
Ability to lift 15 lbs.
