Incumbents are responsible for authoring credit analysis documents required in the establishment and renewal of counterparty credit limits, analyzing and reviewing financial information pertinent to potential and/or existing borrowers/counterparties where the organization is considering secured/unsecured lending or trading relationships, and participating in the authorization of credit exposure related to traditional or complex financing activities.
Assume shared responsibility for a portfolio of financial institutions based Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and/or the Commonwealth of Independent States
Perform fundamental counterparty credit risk analysis and assign internal credit ratings on the names in the portfolio
Monitor market, regulatory, macro economic and political developments and assess their impact on the credit quality of counterparties
Maintain strong and pro-active relationships with other departments, esp. Trading & Sales, Legal and Compliance, Market Risk Management and Operations
Perform on-going monitoring of complex deals so that any early signs of distress or deviation from the expected performance are promptly identified
Liaise with Credit Risk Control and Risk Analytics and Reporting departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems
Perform general problem solving of any issues arising across Credit Suisse in relation to counterparties in the portfolio
Communicate the results of analysis performed in written reports
