FCA’s Credit Specialist Program is designed to foster ongoing skills development and corresponding career advancement. The program encompasses three incremental levels – Credit Risk Examiner, Credit Risk Specialist, and Senior Credit Risk Specialist. Selected candidates may enter this program at any of these levels based on existing experience and qualifications.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
CREDIT RISK EXAMINER
– Participates in or leads credit examination/analysis activities for financial institutions with moderately-complex credit portfolios and/or operations. Evaluates topics such as credit analysis, risk identification, overall asset quality, key credit control systems, loan portfolio management, credit scoring, and collateral appraisals.
CREDIT RISK SPECIALIST
– Participates in or leads credit examination/analysis activities for financial institutions with complex to highly-complex credit portfolios and/or operations. In addition to above topics, may become involved in evaluating large/complex and syndicated credits, rural utility and telecommunication lending, international lending, economic capital, and/or asset securitizations. May conduct advanced computer-based loan database analysis, provide credit training to other staff, and participate in Agency-level projects.
SENIOR CREDIT RISK SPECIALIST
– Participates in or leads credit examination/analysis activities for financial institutions with large, highly-complex, and high profile credit portfolios and operations. Applies high level skills in many of the topics listed above, especially evaluating large/complex and syndicated credits and advanced loan portfolio management methodologies and techniques. May fulfill leadership roles in developing and delivering credit training to other staff, identifying and analyzing complex issues and risks, and developing examination guidance and policy positions.
These positions are available in Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; McLean, VA; Minneapolis, MN; and Sacramento, CA. Compensation ranges from $76k to $160k, plus outstanding benefits.
