JOB SUMMARY:

The Crisis & Continuity Advisor: Medical Special Needs Registrar is responsible for the following essential job functions:
· Develops a statewide registry of pediatric patients receiving home-based care who are reliant on electricity dependent medical equipment (e.g., ventilators)
· Develops and launches a pediatric home-vent dependent education program designed to be provided during registry sign-up at patient discharge
· C ollaborates with emergency management and public health officials to identify non-hospital-based power safe locations in every Indiana county that can accommodate patients with critical electrical-dependent home medical equipment (e.g., pediatric patients on home ventilators) during emergency events
· Serves as a Duty Officer in the Marion County Medical Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MedMACC), providing support to the healthcare and public safety communities during mass-casualty and disaster events
*This is a grant-funded position for one year, with the potential for renewal based on funding availability.*

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Clinical healthcare experience and licensure preferred (e.g., EMT-P, RN, MD)
  • Public health education preferred (e.g., MPH, MSN)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health, clinical health care or emergency management-related field preferred
  • Completion of the following Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses is preferred: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, ICS-700, and ICS-800
  • HSEEP
