The Custodial Services Manager coordinates and supervises all custodial services operations college-wide, ensuring that all facilities are kept clean both inside and outside at minimal cost for labor, supplies, and equipment; and manages the pest control program. This position manages approximately thirty (30) full-time and part-time employees in multiple locations. The Custodial Services Manager provides planning and guidance to the Facilities Manager, Director of Facilities Management and Planning, and other college administrators in decisions relative to custodial services throughout the college. The Custodial Services Manager also exerts excellent customer service and leadership skills at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
Considerable working knowledge of sanitation standards, infection controls, chemicals, cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment related to custodial services. Considerable working knowledge of safety processes, procedures, and techniques used in day-to-day custodial services operations. Considerable knowledge of supervisory functions and management of a large custodial services operation encompassing a multiple-site facility. Knowledge of record management. Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, and direct multiple work assignments. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse group of staff and customers. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as necessary to carry out work assignments. Valid driver's license is required. High school graduate or equivalent. The selected candidate must be able to pass the college's pre-employment security screening.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in management or business administration, and some course work in chemistry is preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of the preceding knowledge may substitute for this education. Extensive experience administering a large custodial services operation to include considerable supervisory responsibilities in a public or private organization is preferred.
