Provide customer service in the Wagner, South
Dakota office and throughout NorthWestern Energy’s territory.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited

to, the following:

All
NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety
standards

·
Respond
to customer inquiries and requests

·
Accept
payments and same-day posting of all customer payments received.

·
Cash
drawer balancing and bank deposits.

·
Assist
customers, customer accounting and customer service center staff with questions
and corrections.

·
Assist
customers with payment arrangements, involving delinquent accounts.

·
Input
and completion of service orders.

·
Explain
rate changes and bill calculations

·
Administer
NorthWestern Energy’s credit program

·
Respond
to emergency situations

·
Handle
customer complaints

·
Review
alternative solutions and commit to an action to resolve customer needs

·
Work
effectively within teams and work groups to accomplish organizational goals

·
Take
bank deposit to the bank and pick up the mail at the post office.

·
Other
duties as assigned

Job
time is spent in an office environment mostly sitting, with limited standing
and walking; occasional lifting of lightweight office materials up to 20
pounds.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

·
Must
be able to demonstrate a good safety record

·
Excellent
customer skills including strong oral communication skills

·
Computer
proficiency and good math skills

·
Able
to positively interact with customers to resolve problems

·
Strong
organizational skills

·
Successful
completion of requisite testing and training program is required

·
Able
to demonstrate an excellent attendance record

·
High
school degree or equivalent required, advanced education or experience
preferred
