Customer Development Manager/ Fred Meijer, Meyer, & Kroger
The Customer Development Manager (CDM) is the key contact point between the LEGO group on the Fred Meijer, Meyer, Kroger business. The CDM is responisble for the for the development and execution of a strategic business plan that aligns with the corporate go-to-market strategy with these customers.
Customer Business Planning - Develop and execute the strategic framework of the Fred Meijer, Meyer, Kroger business plans in partnership with the Americas' go-to-market strategy. Seek alignment with the Customer Development Director to ensure the role and strategic plan defined fits within the over-arching goals of the team. Leverage and help improve the Customer Planning Process to achieve/exceed sales results, improve customer relationships, and increase profits for the LEGO group and Fred Meijer,Meyer,Kroger. Key focus on optimal utilization of inventory levels across these accounts to drive key metrics of Turns and GMROI. As well defining clear anti-competitive tactics to drive market share.
Forecasting - Collaborate with Demand Management and Forecasting on customer shipment and consumer sales forecasts for Fred Meijer, Meyer, Kroger across all categories (Construction, Girls, Games, DUPLO), with input/collaboration from Business Analysit Manger (BAM). Ensure alignment exists between LEGO and the customer plans, making adjustments based on market dynamics throughout the year. The plans will be monitored by item on an as needed basis (minimal - monthly basis) and adjusted based on dynamic conditions within the market and the accounts. Responsible for contributing to the successful monthly delivery of P&L as well as shipment and consumer sales targets.
P&L Mangement - Take owndership over the P&L by delivering the agreed upon profit contribution in line with the overall company revenue and profit objectives.
Bachelor's degree in a business related field along with 3-5 years related experience in consumer packaged goods and 2 years of selling experience. Has exceeded performance expectations in all prior positions held. Demonstrates key core competencies as viewed by Sales Leadership team, including leadership, negotiation skills, decision making, strong communication skills, team orientation, and integrity. Must also have strong planning, organizational and execution skills, and be self-motivated.
Bachelor's degree in a business related field.
3-5 years related experience in consumer packaged goods and 2 years of selling experience.
Has exceeded performance expectations in all prior positions held. Has demonstrated key professional skills including leadership, negotiation skills, decision making, strong communication skills, team orientation, and integrity. Must also have strong planning, organizational and execution skills, and be self-motivated.
