The Customer Marketing Manager will assist business development in managing the sourcing of new customers and expanding current customer relationships through the development of marketing programs, such as awareness, relationship building, reference building and demand generation marketing activities. This position is also responsible for the development and execution of a current customer and channel marketing strategy to assist local business development with increased sales volume, retention and account expansion.
Experience in all facets of marketing including online, direct mail, telemarketing, events and web-based, with an ability to incorporate appropriate elements of national marketing programs in assigned geography to achieve desired outcome for the Account Groups.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Field and Strategic Account Marketing, this position will work with the Operating Unit executives, business development, and the Microsoft and Accenture alliance marketing teams to develop and execute integrated, regional marketing and communication programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
The customer marketing manager will implement local market awareness, account-based marketing and customer marketing/loyalty programs while integrating national marketing campaign activities into their Account Group marketing plans to ensure the Americas meets revenue and profit objectives through new business development and expansion of existing accounts.
The Customer Marketing Manager must ensure alignment of all Marketing activities to geographic Sales objectives, including those executed by other national and corporate Marketing functions.
-Contribute to overall Operating Unit (OU) and Account Group sales and marketing plans year-round through collaboration with the OU leadership, Direct Business Development, Americas Marketing and Corporate Marketing teams, to execute local marketing programs tied to the Account Group’s customer retention/acquisition, revenue targets and business priorities.
-Gain sponsorship for geographic marketing plan from OU and Area Marketing leadership and interact with leadership team on matters concerning marketing program success, analysis, marketing strategy direction and recommendations for change
-Manage the prospect and customer relationship management database for customer communication and lead generation programs through list management, lead tracking management and internal coordination with business development, solutions marketing and internal systems.
-Lead, implement and measure success of marketing programs that build local Avanade brand awareness through speaking engagements, business and technology memberships and community event sponsorships directed to Avanade target accounts, existing customers, recruits and partner communities.
-Plan and implement Avanade direct and/or partner event opportunities including
-participation in product launches (national and local), execution of Avanade Solution Showcase, Executive Briefing Center visits, national thought leadership or solution-specific customer events as well as relationship building events.
-Manage the OU and Account Group marketing budget, spend and partner co-funding to maximize campaign ROI
-Manage outside vendors executing sales and marketing programs including event mgmt., telemarketing, account intelligence and other lead development programs.
Key Account marketing & demand generation
The customer marketing manager will be responsible for collaborating with Sales and Marketing to create and own a demand generation strategy that helps accelerate volume, revenue and expansion of assigned Account Group key accounts
-Develop and execute key account marketing programs and leverage national campaign activities, such as direct marketing, brand strategy and events, in alignment with key account strategies and needs for their designated Account Groups
-Manage key account contact lists within CRM and build additional contact profiles for key account marketing activities.
-Report on the marketing influence from lead, opportunity to win stages and measure impact of sales and marketing programs with key accounts
Customer-base marketing & demand generation
The customer marketing manager will build and expand relationships at multiple levels within the IT organization and C-suite of existing customers to assist Avanade Sales with opportunity development.
-Manage and execute an OU customer reference program including win card creation, case study development, video testimonial production and other customer evidence activities all coordinated with sales, partner and customer contacts.
-Launch and maintain all customer marketing loyalty programs, including customer communication, VIP community involvement and contact/touch-point calendar plans for qualifying customers in the Account Group
-Manage multi-touch contact strategies and nurture programs in partnership with the Global Marketing and Americas Solutions Marketing team to position Avanade’s thought leadership and Solution expertise with existing customers
-Coordinate the region’s participation in customer satisfaction survey
-Build Avanade’s database of customer contact, preference and profile data
Regional Partner & Alliance Marketing
-Work with the regional Microsoft Partner Account Managers, Regional Marketing teams and Accenture geographic marketing team as the central point of contact for the OU and Account Group executive to drive inclusion of Avanade into regional partner marketing programs and secure co-funding for regional/local marketing program execution.
-Ensure regional deployment of Avanade’s national partner communication plan for Microsoft and Accenture target audiences that leverages partner-led communication vehicles to inform audiences of the geography’s customer wins, solution offerings and OU business updates
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
-Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with Operating Unit and Account Group leadership teams
-Knowledge of marketing processes and disciplines including database management, direct marketing, telemarketing, event marketing to both IT and Line of Business decision maker
-Ability to interact with all levels of customers and prospective customer organization
-Understanding of and experience supporting a sales organization
-Experience implementing marketing communications and partner communications programs
-High energy and drive to support sales environment
-Excellent organization and time management skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Creative insight in to prospects/customers
-Willingness to undertake travel as required – approximately 30%
-Word, Excel, PPT, Project & strong understanding of MS enterprise products
Education and Years of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline with a minimum of 5-7 years marketing experience.
