Be a part of a fast growing, family owned company that has been in business for over 75 years! Norfolk Hardware and Home Center is looking for a new member of their customer service team. The ideal candidate will have experience ordering kitchen cabinets. This is a full time position, Monday through Saturday, with one day off in the week.

General Job Description: Assist the sales team to provide excellent customer service to all customers and salespeople of Norfolk Hardware and Home Center and Norfolk Kitchen and Bath.


1. Maintain the Kitchen and Bath Ordering File system
2. Process orders sold by kitchen and bath designers
3. Follow up on orders daily, communicate with operations manager any issues, delays or backlog.
4. Place Kitchen and Bath orders with vendors according to their ordering procedures in timely fashion, place non reviewable orders (Hardware, Tile, Etc) on a daily basis, write purchase orders and append to sales orders as needed.
5. Follow up on all confirmations and verify that salespeople are reviewing them and sending them to the ordering department in a timely fashion, assist designers with nomenclature as needed.
6. Communicate any changes with vendors on reviewed confirmations, verify order is placed, make changes to PO and sales orders as needed.
7. Prep and import confirmations into the PO/POS system so it can be keyed by others, or yourself depending on workload.
8. Work with AP team and receiving team on any issues with received Kitchen and Bath orders, or credits due from vendors.
9. Keep open line of communication with salespeople on any backorders, delays or changes on placed orders.
10. Communicate with manager to balance the workload and batching of trucks with management to insure orders are placed in a timely and accurate manner.
11. Communicating issues from the factory to the salesperson in a timely manner.
12. Always maintain a positive image as a Norfolk H&HC/NKB representative. Make all customers want to shop at Norfolk Hardware/NKB. Adhere to all NKB company standards and follow the regulations of the Norfolk Hardware/NKB employee handbook.
13. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
14. Other duties as assigned by Management.
