The Democrat Herald is seeking a candidate with excellent customer service and phone skills for a full-time position as part of our Customer Service Team.
Duties include assisting walk-in customers in areas relating to the circulation department or directing them to the appropriate department, answering incoming calls; offering products, upgrades, and services to customers; accurately entering subscriber information and service requests; updating and creating circulation reports; taking over-the-counter payments; balancing the daily cash till; providing backup to the Call Center; and other duties as assigned. This is a fast-paced, deadline-oriented position.
Key qualities include excellence in: customer service, attention to detail, prioritizing tasks, organizational skills, communication, and math skills.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in advanced Microsoft Excel and Word.
This position is 40 hours per week with commission opportunity.
