DESCRIPTION

Florida Tile, one of the nation's leading tile manufacturers and distributors, is growing and so are the career opportunities it offers! Our Ft. Collins, Colorado branch is looking for a Warehouse Worker/Customer Service Rep who is a multi-tasker and enjoys variety. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers at the customer service counter, answering phones and in-person inquiries regarding product availability and pricing, placing special orders, processing customer sales transactions, operating a forklift to process incoming and outgoing inventory, and preparing customer shipments.

This full-time position requires strong communication skills; ability to maintain good customer relations; familiarity with basic math and computerized sales and order processing systems; 2-4 years customer service or sales processing experience; warehouse experience is preferred. Experience in the building materials, floor coverings, construction, or remodeling industries is preferred.

Drug test and background check required.
Class A or B CDL is a plus.

DUTIES

Operations
  • Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity and price verification
  • Confirm orders placed by customers via phone/fax/internet
  • Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches
  • Provide freight/shipment information (cost/tracking/etc) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner
  • Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses
  • Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s)
  • Make collection (A/R) calls/contacts as directed by ABM/BM
  • Perform other daily tasks as directed by ABM/BM
Sales Related Responsibilities
  • Promote add-on sales at the time of order entry via the promotion of sundries and other related items
  • Assist trade and showroom customers in the selection of products
  • Acquire a high level of product knowledge about the company's products and be able to effectively respond to inquiries as they relate to the recommend (or restricted) use.
  • Maintain the CSR work area in an organized manner that is conducive to sales and service
  • Provide support to the OSR/BCSS and Design Sales Consultant in the performance of their duties. Assist as directed by ABM/BM.
Warehouse
  • Assist in the warehouse as directed.
  • Accurately prepares orders by pulling material from stock
  • Participates in the shipping of company goods to various customers
  • Verifies accuracy of shipments
  • Processes paperwork and signatures of shipments
  • Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pulls orders via pick ticket and handles pick ticket through delivery process
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and preparing stock for transport
  • Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying gains/losses
  • Cleans warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Customer service experience with a manufacturer of building products preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • AS400 software experience, CMS experiences a plus.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Team player with commitment to company values.
  • At least two years of inventory handling and experience
