Overview: Contacts student loan borrowers to discuss their ability to repay their student loans and offer options for keeping / bringing the loan current. Responsibilities: * Makes outbound calls to students and references through an auto-dialer system. * Counsel students on options to bring their loans to a current status through payment, forbearance, deferment and other programs* Communicates by telephone and/or in writing/e-mail to borrowers to inform them of their responsibilities and the consequences of default* Works daily wrong number reports that are generated from the predictive telephone dialer system* Maintains clear, concise and accurate documentation of borrower accounts, including all contacts made and received* Reviews cohort calculator and works borrower accounts for assigned schools* Maintains current and accurate knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the repayment of student loans, including the consequences of default, and the various payment / deferment options available to borrowers* Updates loan status on LoanTracker* Complies with all applicable ECMC Group Security Policies and applicable Security Policies* Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications: WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Call Center Hours of Operation - 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Monday -Thursday); 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday * Required to work a mix of day and evening shifts, work schedule is subject to change due to needs of operation- Capable of working at a computer and on the phone for several hours at a time to complete workKey skills and qualification requirements: * High School diploma or GED required* 6 months experience working in an office environment required* Strong attention to detail required* 6 months experience working in a call center environment preferred* 1+ years solid customer service and telephone communication skills preferred * Adaptable to a fast paced and changing work environment required* Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred* Ability to handle multiple computer programs preferredApply Now: Please go to www.ecmcsolutions.com to build a profile and apply online to the position.
