This position will be located in the Transamerica Capital Markets (TCM) division. TCM is one of the nations leading providers of annuity and life insurance products to banks, wirehouses, broker/dealers, and institutional clients. TCM primarily manufactures, administers, and services annuity products issued by several AEGON USA operating companies.

This is a call center customer service rep position and the start date is April 15, 2013.
Employees will become an Annuity Specialist gaining knowledge in the Financial Services and Insurance industries.
Deliver exceptional customer service regarding fixed and variable annuities by aligning with the strategic goal to be a market leader in customer service delivery. Will be responsible for performing one or more of the following.
- Respond to customer phone inquiries by providing prompt, friendly and thorough service, using all tools and resources available.
- Respond and research basic and complex inquiries relating to annuity policy details, distributions, systematic payouts, claims and new business.
- Compliance with both IMSA Code of Ethics and SEC regulations that require variable financial transactions be processed the same day received.
2-4 years customer service and/or office experience, preferably in insurance or a related field. Advanced education preferred. In-depth understanding of fixed/variable annuity and life insurance concepts. Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Normal office environment. Fast-paced environment. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to work in standing and/or sitting positions. Outgoing personality with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences. Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to adjust to changes in schedule, while meeting time-sensitive service level standards and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and problem resolution skills.

Extensive 7-week paid training program to learn about Transamerica, annuities, products, systems and procedures. Training hours are 8:00 to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. (Employees are encouraged to be present throughout the entirety of training.)
Work schedule -
The operation hours after training will be an 8 hour shift anywhere between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 7:00-4:30 p.m. on Fridays.
There are periods of time throughout the year when our call volume increases. These call "spikes" normally occur at the beginning of the calendar quarter and coincide with the mailing of Policyowner quarterly account statements. Call volumes during the first quarter of the year are our highest. There may be other times throughout the year when overtime could be offered based on business need.
