Position Overview: This position handles customer orders from quoting to preparation for order entry.

Essential Job Functions :
Responsibility to review, prepare for entry, and manage orders resulting from conversion of a quotation to an order or orders received directly from a representative.

Complete review of customer’s Purchase Order or Letter of Intent to ensure all technical and commercial specifications are the same as included in Farris’ quotation or Farris standard terms and conditions.

Work with Standard Order Management-MRO Business to ensure orders are entered following designated priority.

Identify and communicate issues that prevent order entry to Customer Service / Order Management Supervisor, in a timely manner, to prevent any extended order entry delays that would compromise ship date commitments.

Provide Customer Service for assigned Representatives, including but not limited to technical assistance, pricing, expediting, etc.

Other duties as may be required.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in technical field, finance or marketing preferred.

Other Skills/Abilities:
Technical Sales experience required.

Strong computer skills required.

Basic understanding of fluid and/or process systems preferred.

Strong background using Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Good organizational skills.

Team player.

Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Good writing and verbal communication skills.
