In this role the candidate will primarily be tasked with working software development activities, supporting the design, development, testing and release process of tools, add-ons and various utilities for CollabNet's flagship product. The professional services team is a fast paced results oriented group often working as a team and in some cases on individual tasks. The ideal candidate should be well practiced in various development methodologies such as Agile, and capable of quickly understanding and utilizing unfamiliar technologies with very strong troubleshooting skills.
This is a customer facing role requiring the ability to clearly articulate complex issues with customers of diverse backgrounds in a professional manner. Some travel for short term work is required – mostly US based; flexibility for operating in a field-based, independent capacity.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Linux (Red Hat / CentOS / Suse) system administration skills. RHCE a strong plus.
Subversion/GIT/CVS - Perforce/ClearCase a plus.
Object Oriented Perl development; knowledge of ActiveState PDK a strong plus.
Strong understanding of C/C++; gdb experience a strong plus.
Java Development ( Tomcat, JBoss ).
Solid understand of WebServices and REST APIs.
IDEAL SKILLS :
VMWare ESX Server and other virtualization systems.
Scripting/Programming Languages: PHP, Bash, Python, .Net.
Build & Test automation.
Application Release Automation tools.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS :
5+ or more years in enterprise class software development with experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
Knowledge of and experience with TCP IP network engineering is a very strong plus.
BSCS or equivalent.
