**THESE POSITIONS ARE TIME-LIMITED, GRANT FUNDED, FULL-TIME.**
The Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 26, is seeking two (2) qualified individuals to provide legal support services to the office attorneys. Duties may include but are not limited to: answer multi-line telephone; type correspondence and maintain records; help victims and witnesses prepare for court; inform victims of their rights; gather information to assist in the prosecution of cases; and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Knowledge of: court systems and procedures; and community resources to refer victims and witnesses.
Ability to: interview to elicit information from victims and witnesses to assure appropriate services; communicate orally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement officers, officials of related agencies, and the general public; calmly handle stressful situations; work independently; handle a large amount of public interaction; and type legal forms and documents.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from high school or high school equivalency certificate and two years of legal secretarial experience.
Management prefers candidates with paralegal experience.
