Stonington Institute began serving recovering
alcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults in
recovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Today, we are the longest continually operating, free-standing,
voluntary treatment facility in New England. Our main campus is
located in North Stonington, CT, in its original private and peaceful
rural setting. We have additional clinical sites in Groton, CT.
Transportation and off-campus housing assistance make our programs
and services accessible to a statewide clientele. Those programs
include: medical detoxification, rehabilitation/residential
treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment
(both day and evening), ambulatory detoxification. The Institute
accepts private insurance, state-funded plans and self pay
Direct care workers are responsible for the day to
day supervision and safety of clients with developmental
disabilities. This includes facilitating various therapeutic groups
and activities in a residential setting. This individual functions as
a team member in the delivery of services.

Minimum HS diploma + 2 years in a residential
behavioral health setting. Experience with adolescents and valid
drivers license required; PSL preferred. Experience working with
developmentally delayed or low functioning population required.
Applicants must pass criminal background check, DCF check, and
pre-employment testing including drug screen.
