KSPS has an immediate opening for an EH&S Director. This candidate will be located in the Houston TX facility at 12221 E Sam Houston.

Brief Summary of Duties

Motivate direct positive change to foster continuous improvement.

Utilize onsite visits and coaching to effect positive change.

Educate focusing on prevention and not management of injuries and making safety culture personal.

Evaluate-conduct audits of JSA's Jobsites, Hazard Elimination Cards, Near miss reports, etc. to ensure correct direction and level of change in a timely manner.

Work with the Project Services, Project Management, Field Operations, Sales & Estimating and Field Supervisors to open lines of communication for training, developing safety plans, attending customer safety meetings, allocating safety resources to meet company needs and compliance issues.

Safety Manual review and revise as needed annually to maintain compliance with regulations.

Evaluate contractors for adherence to KSPS safety protocol.

Ensure KSPS is compliant with all applicable laws.

Required Work Experience, Skills and Education

High School Diploma

Motivate/coach employees to foster positive continuous improvement

Educate employees on prevention and making safety culture personal - 10,000% compliance attitude

Strong knowledge of applicable OSHA standards and ability to enact/direct compliant EHS programs

Evaluate contractors for adherence to KSPS safety protocol

Annually review Safety Manual to keep in compliance with regulatons and best practices

Work with all levels of Management, field supervision and crew/craft employees; manage EHS Staff

Communicate with Business Leaders regarding goals and incentives are properly aligned with job task

Conduct audits and develop action plans based on audit data

Preferred Education

Bachelors Degree in Environment, Health & Safety

Physical Demands-Unusual Work Conditions

Travel (including International) required up to 33%

Plant site visits which include exposure to hazards in operating process units, as well as climbing, working at heights and confined space entry
