JOB TITLE: Director, Project Management
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities for the Director, Project Management are to manage a key digital portfolio and associated project managers to ensure the timely, effective and high quality delivery of the projects within their portfolio. This role will build and/or lead a team of project managers to ensure optimal utilization and management of Ralph Lauren global digital human and financial resources. They ensure expectations are clearly communicated and met across internal teams and business stakeholders for their portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for management and delivery of digital projects within their portfolio to ensure on time and high quality delivery of our consumer-facing experiences
Work with Sr. Director of PMO to ensure effective reporting and management of their portfolio
Responsible for following and monitoring project management processes and documentation
Ensures ongoing resource needs are captured and utilization rates are maintained across their portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5+ years as a Director or Senior Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project programs or project portfolios
Strong grasp of current web technologies as well as related business issues
PMI or PMP certification or similar
Deep experience in multiple software development lifecycles, including waterfall and agile
Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation
Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external groups
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PPT to help in the documentation and facilitation of tasks
High energy and enthusiasm and ability to succeed in a dynamic work environment
Solid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle
