Develop merchandising business strategies to maximize the Outlet sales and profitability. Identify opportunities to transfer Pottery Barn branded product to drive margin and profits for the Outlet Division. Develop plan to coordinate and communicate information across functions and brand partners. Collaborate with Inventory Management, Merchandising, Sourcing, Store Operations and Visual teams to ensure processes are followed and timelines met. Build strong partnerships with the Store organization, to deliver great product and service to our customers. Lead and develop Outlet team, building an environment of teamwork and collaboration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Identify the strategic direction for the division. Communicate the vision and inspire team to develop business plans and identify opportunities which keep value pricing and margin as top priorities. Implement tactical plans derived from strategy by working across functional areas. · Leverage and balance Core Classics, Fashion Buys, Transfer and Liquidation of goods to create the right assortment by store. · Analyze sales, current trends and the market for assortment shifts. · Map opportunities based on historical results to maximize sales. · Review markdown strategies. · Approve assortment and financial plans to achieve IMU% and sales goals. · Create and manage the Outlet Master Calendar to ensure flawless delivery and execution. · Work closely with visual merchandising to plan floor layouts for Outlet stores. · Manage content for Outlet e-mail and social marketing, includes a presence on Facebook & Twitter. · Create and manage all store contests on a monthly basis · Travel to stores frequently to ensure standards and goals are being met · Special Projects o Manage international store openings (i.e. Montreal & Australia) to include the following: § Geographic/demographic research § S.W.O.T. Analysis § Competitive Pricing Analysis § Manage cross-functional teams to ensure all functions deliver on objectives and execute on-time o Assignments outlined by President of Pottery Barn, as needed · Develop staffing and succession plans. Interview candidates and approve final candidates. · Determine work load for staff; recommend effective processes and procedures to improve workflow and results. · Provide direction and clarify objectives. Evaluate and appraise performance. · Mentor, educate and develop staff.

Requirements/ Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: · BA required · Buying/Merchandising with 10-15 years experience · People management experience required · Premium hard goods merchandising experience preferred, with demonstrated successes combining function and fashion COMPETENCIES: · Excellent communication skills · Strategic and detail oriented · Strong Financial Acumen · Ability to work through ambiguity, take risks and make quick decisions · Build strong partnerships
