The C4ISR business unit provides a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems. In addition, our staff provides Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, as well as Weapons Systems design and installation support services, primarily for US Navy vessels. The business unit also provides turn-key solutions and Integrated Life Cycle services in system engineering, enterprise architecture, business process engineering, networks, telecommunications and IT and space system engineering, integration, installation and operations and maintenance for a diverse group of government and commercial customers worldwide.

Job Description:
This position is in the RED Switch at Misawa AB, Japan. The Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)/ Voice Over Secure Internet Protocol (VOSIP) is a secure/non-secure conferencing network that provides mission critical voice and data communications for operational commands, senior level DoD and Office of the Secretary of Defense leadership to plan and implement wartime and peacetime operations. The workcenter will be responsible for maintaining the DRSN and its sub-systems during normal duty hours, Monday-Friday as well as providing on-call 24/5 maintenance support during non-duty hours. DRSN/VOIP/VOSIP support will cover overall maintenance tracking and reporting responsibility; DRSN switch and Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) operation and administration; scheduled, unscheduled and corrective maintenance, Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), fault isolation, and restoration; DRSN telephone installations, relocations, removals, replacements; all DRSN cryptographic device configuration, operation, and maintenance; Alternate COMSEC responsible officer and cryptographic rekey duties; system and office upgrades; and system accreditation all IAW DISA guidance and technical manuals.

Required Skills and Experience:
Completion of Secure Digital Switch (SDS) and/or Remote Switching Unit (RSU), Enhanced RSU (ERU) or Digital Small Switch (DSS-2A) certification or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience is mandatory. Completion of Cisco IP Telephony, Part 1 (CIPT-1) course, equivalent commercial certification or demonstrated knowledge and experience is mandatory. A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is mandatory. Ability to comply with DoD8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program workforce requirements for Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT-II) is required, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Information Assurance technology area and Security +CE, GSEC, SSCP or CCNA-Security certification. Strong customer relations skills and overall communications skills are mandatory. Prior DRSN Operations & Maintenance or engineering experience with DRSN systems and VOIP systems is highly desirable. Cryptographic training in KIV-7M and KIV-19M is highly desirable. Experience with test equipment such as Fireberd test units, oscilloscopes and multimeters is desirable.
