As part of our advanced analytics work, Kore Federal focuses on the implementation of automated risk assessment capabilities to enhance security by employing threat-specific risk assessment techniques that incorporate both qualitative (i.e., sophisticated analyses of unclassified and classified information and intelligence) and quantitative (e.g., data analysis, predictive analytics, and machine learning) techniques.
Kore Federal is looking for capable, qualified and versatile data/database engineer to assist our analytics team in extracting pertinent data from structured and unstructured data sources, organizing this data into our decision support repositories, as well as performing various data mining, statistical, and predictive analyses.
Analyze data from numerous transactional database sources and create aggregate datasets used for pattern recognition and proto rules development.
Translate complex business rules to SQL code to identify target population.
Code and optimize queries used to generate datasets.
Generate DDL, DML, and DCL scripts as well as manage deployment through various environments.
Define, document and present optimal methods, ontologies and schemes to organize, extract and store data.
Help develop predictive analytic models that includes data collection, organization, advanced statistical analysis and predictive solutions, text and data mining.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent.
At least 5 years' experience in working with relational databases (Oracle preferred).
At least 5 years' experience in coding with SQL and PL/SQL (i.e., design and use of triggers, stored procedures, indexes, views, and transactions, etc.).
At least 2 years' experience in a statistical software package such as SAS, SPSS Modeler, Random Forest or equivalent.
At least 2 years' experience creating data models (ERDs, DFDs, etc.) using tools such as ERWin, Embarcadero ER/Studio or Quest TOADr for Oracle, MS Visio, etc.
At least 2 years' experience Data Mining frameworks and approaches
