Responsible for documenting and maintaining business and technical meta data content.
Candidate must have experience writing SQL queries.
This is necessary when researching data related issues on Microsoft SQL Server.
This position is highly focused on their ability to perform Quality Assurance (QA) of data, reports, log files, member communications and XML files.
Need to be able to follow directions and monitor processes to ensure they complete successfully.
Ensures all system and production problems are recognized and appropriate action is taken to meet batch processing and online schedules.
Provides training for less experienced operators
Adheres to standard data management practices.
Ensures documentation is written and kept updated on current procedures.

Documents and maintains business and technical meta data:
terms definitions, calculations/derivations, business owners/stewards, business rules, subject/functional areas, data elements aliases, tables and technical owners/stewards. Monitors compliance to standards and processes.
Documents and maintains business naming standards.
Updates Workflow Diagram/Business Process Models. Monitors, implements and provides ongoing support for small enhancements to new and existing data structures.
Develops, delivers user training and provides support to facilitate appropriate usage of data and meta data.
Coordinates, communicates and supports upgrade testing of the tool suite. Participates in the resolution of data issues and improvement of data quality/integrity for a specific subject area.
Creates and maintains existing Data Flow Diagrams.
Supports, assists Sr Data Administrator and Data Administrator Advisor in more complex tasks and initiatives.

Requirements: BS/BA ; 2 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience writing SQL queries. General business and technical knowledge of data administration tools and techniques required. Strong written and oral communication, analytical, problem-solving, and PC skills required.
