Al-Quds Bard (AQB) is seeking a Data Collection Administrator for its Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program in Abu Dis. AQB is a partnership of Al-Quds University and Bard College, which offers graduate and undergraduate dual-degree programs based on the liberal arts model of education. The MAT Program leads to a MAT degree from Bard College and a M.Ed. degree from Al-Quds University. The MAT Program is committed to rigorous graduate training in biology, English, general science, history, and mathematics; intense involvement in high school/middle school classrooms; partnerships for educational change with participant schools; and a re-conceptualized education curriculum. Courses in education and the student’s discipline are closely integrated with the practical challenges of classroom instruction. The Al-Quds/Bard MAT program currently enrolls in-service Palestinian teachers in a two–year version of the program and receives significant support from USAID and the Open Society Foundation.
The Data Collection Administrator is responsible for overseeing the collection and organization of all data related to MAT program research, performance indicators, and documentation of activities and outputs related to USAID-funded MAT work in the region. The Data Collection Administrator will work with the MOE, Palestinian universities, and MAT faculty to collect and analyze data on teacher education and student achievement. This would include working closely with MAT faculty in their research efforts, as well as supporting the work of the MAT Compliance Officer and documenting the efforts of the Liaison/Coordinator for Outreach and Partner Initiatives in the execution of MAT objectives as they relate to the USAID funded projects of the MAT program. The Data Collection Administrator will be the program’s chief liaison with the external monitoring and evaluation firm.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience and facility with data collection technologies, possess a four-year degree at minimum, and have a working knowledge of statistics and data organization, as well as the ability to prepare reports.
