Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of cancer care treatments and diagnoses. Knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, human relations skills. Ability to access information and apply critical thinking skills to provide accurate data submissions. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and manage time efficiently. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Essential Function/Duties:
Responsible for researching and collecting required data points for patients and submitting accurate data to the International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR) and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) in a timely manner. Works with NMDP to resolve discrepancies. Partners with the BMT Quality Coordinator to ensure accuracy of data. Communicates with the Administrative Director regarding any patient data concerns and reports progress toward quarterly data goals. Assists with compliance to all applicable federal and state regulations. At the direction of the Administrative Director and/or the Quality Coordinator, assists in activities related to FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) accreditation.

Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
Requires ability to sit for up to 6 hours per day. Requires sufficient manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment. Requires sufficient clarity of vision to review written material and computer files/reports. Must be able to work at times under stressful conditions. Work will occasionally involve some lifting and carrying of objects.


Minimum Qualifications:

*Education: College or technical training in a healthcare or research related field.

*Experience: Research or data coordination experience in a hospital which resulted in obtaining working knowledge of cancer care treatments and diagnoses.

*Certification: Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or other related certification preferred.
