Data Management Director – SCM Data is responsible for working with senior business and Shared Service Center leadership to support the overall enterprise data management strategy, specifically the master data management (MDM) approach that is aligned with business and IT strategy and supports the Ministry Intelligence Center (MIC). The Data Management Director –Business will establish, refine and incorporate standards, ensuring that the data across all business processes, systems and functions is synchronized and consistent.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, control and integrity of master data elements; concept is to capture all data elements in the attributes of the master and then establish required reporting to cross-section the data to provide all of the key business metrics and measurements.
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with multiple business partners.
Supports business initiatives, operational efficiencies, and process improvements.
Provides guidance, planning and direction for business unit(s), and proactively allocates resources and time for the business units or functions they support
May perform all duties inherent in a managerial role and develop either system controls or procedural controls effectively accomplish the required end results.
Collaborates with Business Intelligence (BI) and business teams to ensure the proper development and implementation of data models and master data management solutions
Performs all work with a direct reflection of the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension Health; Promotes, exemplifies and supports the Ascension Health Core Values of Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
B.S. in Business or related field, or the equivalent, is required; Master’s degree is preferred
Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of relevant management experience in healthcare finance and operations is required
Prior experience with technology solutions in large scale projects or project management experience highly desirable

Critical thinking, analytical skills and business acumen needed to make decisions, solve problems and manage time and people resources
Effective team building, coaching, collaboration, and influence skills
Ability to lead through vision and values
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent planning, project management, organizational, and decision-making skills required
Ability to grasp technological opportunities and apply them to business opportunities and requirements
Prior project experience required
Flexible and open to change
Solid understanding of PeopleSoft functionality preferred
Shared Service Center experience preferred
Proficient in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and VISIO
