Business Development, Data Solutions is responsible for the maintenance and growth of assigned client business plus prospecting ensuring we strategically support client business and marketing goals with the full range of Allant data services and products. He/She maintains business-driver level relationships with the client organization and works to develop Allant business within that organization. The Business Development, Data solution position holds responsibility for revenue and profit margin attainment and is responsible for delivering against annually growth goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieves targeted revenue and margin goals for clients and prospects.

Maintains business-driver relationship for clients and prospects.

Develops short and long term strategic growth plans for clients and prospects as part of Allant’s annual planning. Delivers against those plans.

Identifies/builds personal relationships with decision-makers in major accounts to develop and capitalize on potential new business opportunities.

Facilitates appropriate communication of project instructions and special client requests to internal Allant operational and Analytical teams.

Provides input in weekly Management Report including account activity,, incoming projects, significant client meetings, and any other information that impacts internal resources.

Communicates all pertinent client information regarding level of satisfaction, key decision- makers, sales trends, and potential new business opportunities.

Develops and adjusts ongoing (daily, weekly, monthly) work plan to manage to revenue goals.

Works closely with VP-Data Solutions to establish ongoing business development plan reviewing regularly.

Responsible, with VP-Data Solutions, for achieving revenue goals within data products.

Attends meetings, participates in team-building, and assumes positions of responsibility within the team.

Performs other duties and assignments as required..

Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.

Superior working relationships with management, staff, Allant personnel, customers, vendors, suppliers.

Successfully achieves milestone targets: revenue, margin, timeline and quality elements, including client satisfaction.

Competency in strategic solution selling, business analysis, account qualification and development, presentation development and delivery.

Competency writing timely reports, follow-up information, recommendations.

Team member who assumes positions of responsibility within the team.

Demonstrated interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.

Strong problem identification/problem resolution abilities.

Rapid assimilation of new information and adjustment to new organizational paradigms.

Effective works habits under pressure and within tight deadline constraints.

Understanding of client(s) core business competencies across multiple industries.

Strong motivation to improve continually the methods used to meet client needs.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex problems and deal with multiple projects or activities simultaneously within a constantly changing environment.

Ability to maintain high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.

Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computers, and peripherals.

Frequent outside travel required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

College Degree preferred, with Marketing or Business related emphasis. Education is considered to include the formal/traditional as well as learning from life and work experience.

12-15 years of experience with client management, strategic leadership/development in a services industry (preferably Database, Direct Marketing or Integrated Agency Services).

5+ years of experience in Business /Data Sales
