The Data Warehouse Analyst IV shall have these general responsibilities to be performed under minimal supervision:
Designing and documenting logical and physical analytical enterprise databases, particularly the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Analyzing source systems for loading into EDW and communicating findings and make recommendations back to the EDW team. Specifying and documenting ETL requirements to maintain the EDW environment. Coordinating with ETL and DBA teams to meet objectives and deadlines. Analyzing and recommending reactions to source system changes as they impact the EDW. Addressing user questions about the EDW. - Assisting in publication and availability of enterprise meta-data pertaining to the EDW. Planning, documenting and coordinating the exchange of data with third party vendors and lenders as needed. Assist, guide and train other members of the EDW team. Source System Analysis / Impact Analysis Analyze source systems in response to new functionality requests to EDW and summarize findings and make recommendations. Perform impact analysis to assess impact of source changes to the EDW. Maintain Enterprise Data Models Coordinate with business analysts (EDW users) to understand data requirements. Use ERwin Model Manager to create and maintain logical and physical analytical data models for simple projects. Maintain and administer the corporate meta-data repository. Adhere to enterprise modeling standards. Document Solutions Work closely with Business Analysts and users as required to understand and help design technical solutions to requirements. Document data migration mappings and transformations for data warehouse loading. Assist ETL as requested in the interpretation and execution of loading specifications. Work with Business Intelligence developers and users Assure that metrics are understood and efficiently utilized. Help review Cognos models to assure that they are exposing data properly. Investigate and report on data anomalies.
Eight (8) years experience with data modeling and data warehouse environment. Must be able to write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries. Experience with auto finance or banking is a plus. Bachelor""s degree in I.T. or Business preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of college degree. Overtime work may be required as needed to adapt to business change.
