Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in database systems design, maintenance, and support is required. Direct experience with databases, applications and technology systems used by the District is highly desirable. Experience in a related field beyond the three year requirement may be substituted for the years of education experience on a two years experience equals one year of education basis.
Associates Degree or 60 semester units completed in a Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED
Possession of a valid California Drivers’ License and proof of insurance are required. Successful completion of the District’s basic skills test. Current Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or other database certification is highly desirable.
After the final filing date, applications will be screened and qualified applicants will be notified of the examination date and time.
