Database Architect Level jobs
Our esteemed client is seeking a
DB Architect
to support their systems in Dallas, TX. This is a 6-month contract position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sr. level DBA will be responsible for Oracle databases running on Unix.
Review database system status and to identify problems in a timely manner.
Major responsibilities are to ensure that the systems supported are available to the users and that these systems provide timely and accurate data.
This includes consultations, investigating anomalies, fixing minor data problems, seeking user input and being responsive to their changing needs.
Experience with SQL Server is a plus, with a recent deployment of an important application using SQL Server, instead of Oracle.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be U.S. citizens
8+ years of experience
Extensive experience utilizing new features in oracle versions 10g and 11g.
Preferred: SQL Server experience to support patches, new tables and table changes
Experience with SQL Server is a plus, with a recent deployment of an important application using SQL Server, instead of Oracle.
