The position primary function is thedevelopment and management of the enterprise business intelligence architecture including the enterprise data warehouse and other production database environments. This position will serve as a resource to junior level positions.
Designs, implements and supports data warehousing environment including the data models, business definitions, security and data integrity.
Responsible for performing data analysis and cooperating with business users to assist with and facilitate data analysis.
Supports nightly refresh of data warehouse systems and proactively resolves problems or disruptions in these processes.
Shares night and weekend ”on-call” duty with teammates 1-2weeks per month.
Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
Designs, implements and supports data warehousing and ETL transfers.
Performs data analysis.
Develop required logical and physical analytical data models, both relational and multi-dimensional.
Implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance.
Maintenance of SQL and Oracle databases.
Proactive SQL job monitoring and table space management.
Maintenance of end to end performance of applications, from the database to the user interface and all components in-between; maintenance of end to end performance of the infrastructure.
Professional and friendly interaction with members and staff, providing first line problem determination/resolution.
Observe the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with member accounts or personal information and credit union records.
Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union.
Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
Work with other credit union departments to insure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 features, especially those related to business intelligence.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Three years experience and a solid understanding of database structure, SQL syntax and ETL in either MS SQL Server or Oracle.
Three years experience working with database data models.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
Ability to function effectively as a team member in a highly collaborative and fast-paced agile environment.
Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing softwars.
Must be able to be bonded.
In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach or stand for extended periods of time. Requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other credit union facilities or for training purposes.
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Bachelors or Masters Degree strongly preferred. One to three years experience and a solid understanding of database structure, SQL syntax and ETL in either MS SQL Server or Oracle.
