Successful, growing company has an opportunity for a motivated Delivery Driver and Warehouse Assistant. You must have experience driving a box truck, working in distribution and small package delivery. You must have success, efficiently, completing 20-50 stops daily. You should be hard working, flexible, problem solver and have strong customer service skills. CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement is required.
OVERVIEW OF DELIVERY DRIVER AND WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT:
SCOPE: To professionally, safely and expeditiously deliver product to customers throughout our service area of the Great Lakes Region. Some deliveries are skid drops, many require breaking down a pallet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professional, safe and courteous delivery of product to customer base throughout our sales territory.
Wear company uniform and safety shoes at all times. Keep clean, neat and professional appearance; shirts tucked in. No hats, shirts or jackets to be worn without company logo.
Adhere to all CDL laws; drive safely and courteously at all times. Keep licensing requirements current.
Review and sign receipt, understanding and adherence to the procedures in the company Driver Handbook, and any revisions to follow. This includes but is not limited to; daily completion of log book, immediately reporting all incidents / accidents, reporting all driving infractions that occur on or off the job, obtaining signatures on deliveries, return of product, lock trucks up nightly, keep the vehicle clean inside and out, responsible for equipment used to assist with delivers such as pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, wheel chocks and other property on the truck.
Communicate competitive information to management and sales consultants.
To communicate improvement opportunities on routes.
Learn to load/unload equipment/machines to ensure safe and undamaged delivery to customers.
Assist with order preparation and loading truck for deliveries.
When not driving, assist in the warehouse with putting product away, rotating stock, inventory control, general maintenance, etc.

Push and pull from 10-400 pounds, and operate auto scrubbers, vacuums, wet/dry vacs, extractors, sweepers, floor machines, and other janitorial cleaning equipment. (Approximate weight from 10 to 1000 pounds). May need to occasionally use ramp and push or pull automatic scrubbers or other equipment up the ramp, with assistance by other personnel Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Forklift, dollies, platform truck, pallet jacks, pull chains and other equipment associated with truck driving, straight truck and/or van and possible trailer for driving/delivery needs. Use of power tools such as drills and screwdrivers and other hand tools. Possible handling of batteries, chargers, motors, etc.
